my buddy used to have a car that was basically a mini garbage truck. he'd clean it out one day and by the end of the day you were putting your feet on mcdonalds bags.
once a week he'd empty it on his other friends neighbours house. it was pretty funny. |

IN MY OPINION THE NORTH SHORE IS PROBABLY THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE IN VANCOUVER, SUBURBAN WISE, BUT I MAY BE BIAST. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW OF A SUBURB THAT OFFERS SIMILAR THINGS AND IS 15 MINUTES TO GRANVILLE STREET. |

As for naming a suburb? That could be argued any number of ways depending on what you look for. I love asian food. Name a suburb with a multituide of asian food, and asian grocery stores 20 mins to granville street. It's not North Van... |

YEAH MAN I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT WILL GO ONE A MESSAGE BOARD AND CALL PLACES UNFUN AND BORING SIMPLY BECAUSE OF A LACK OF AN ASIAN MARKET. YOU'RE TOTALLY RIGHT, THAT IS A REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE OF AN ASPECT OF A SUBURB THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE LOOK FOR WHEN PICKING A PLACE TO LIVE.
IF NORTH VAN ONLY WE HAD ASIAN MARKET, LIKE THE ONE IN NORTH VAN RIGHT NEXT TO CAPILANO MALL. OR THE ONE NEARBY IN WEST VAN. OR LIKE LONSDALE QUAY, WHICH ISNT TECHNICALLY AN ASIAN MARKET BUT A GIGANTIC MARKET WITH ITS FRESH FOOD AND PRODUCE AND ITEMS FROM AROUND THE WORLD. WHAT OTHER ASPECTS OF A SUBURB TURN YOU ON, I BET ITS SOMETHING ELSE REALLY COMMON LIKE 'HAS TO HAVE MULTIPLE WENDYS LATE NIGHT DRIVE IN WINDOWS, BECAUSE I ENJOY BIG BACON CLASSICS AT 2AM, AND I DONT CARE FOR SUBURBS THAT DONT GIVE ME A CHOICE OF PLACES TO GET WENDYS AT' |

I think you missed the point. I'm using the asian community as an example , that diffrent people like diffrent things. Not everyone is going to find North Van a thrilling place to live. I'm sorry, but people have diffrent intrests and define what they think of as a good place to live based on those. I don't like hiking and a lot of outdoor activities, apparently you do. I don't care much for North Van, apparently you do. As a side note, I think that Richmond's strong asian shopping and dinning community is an excellent real world example of factors that effect people's decision to move into a certian area. It's hard to argue that it isn't a huge factor in Richmond's growth and ethinc make up. |
