Technix, Jewish people will always be sensitive about the presence of swastikas. Its a fair reaction given the Nazi's close ties to it. What really needs to happen is for people to stop seeing the boogey man everywhere. I very much doubt the US Navy was thumbing through designs in the 60s and thought "OOO! Lookit this one! Symbols are just that. Symbols.

The swastika isn't only seen as a nazi symbol. It's also seen in Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. So keep an open mind about it.

Take for example the word pride. Now that the word symbolizes homosexuality. But that doesn't mean people shouldn't use it personally when they are proud of themselves just because they don't want to sound gay. k'naw mean?

The bodymodification "celebrity" so to speak ManWoman, has made it his life mission to basically to detoxify the misuse of the Swastika..his arms are covered with at least a couple hundred different swastikas' that were and are used in different cultures and religions all over the world. Like Mr. Ekiton said The Swastika was used in Hinduism Buddhism and other various cultures before the Nazi's stole the symbol and rewrote it's meaning 10-20 years tops...it was around thousands of years before...
