Last night at Sonar

Now to the possibly funny, more annoying stuff.

Last night I was working at the smoke pit and it was hella busy. I've never seen that place more packed in my life.
I've seen some weird shit working at various bars/clubs.. but last night had to be the cherry.
This chick, drunk as holy hell was causing a scene.. I go up to her and let her know that she's one more "fuck" closer to being kicked out and it was her last warning.. in a friendly manner ofcourse.
Her friends thank me and I go back to my post.. She goes and screams at me wanting the managers and I tell her she's gone, in the worst possible way ofcourse.
She puts up a fight but 3 of us manage to get her out.
Over the course of the night everything went smoothly except for the fact that I hate scenesters and I want all the bad things in life to happen to them.
I walked out one more girl and the girl I had previously walked out was still trying to get in.
This girl was screaming, yelling and being a complete kid.
I went out for a ciggy 30 minutes later and looked outside of the cage.. and there she was again. This time butt naked, thinking that showing her boobs and extremely unshaved snatch was going to make a difference in the decision.

Closer to the end of the night, some douchebag in a yellow shirt (if this is your friend, tell him he's lame), comes up to me. doesnt even see that i have "security" written all over my shirt and asks "are these any of your drinks?"
"no"
"do you mind if i have sip of one?"

What the fuck??? what the good god fuck??? Who says that???? like honestly, bums dont even come up to me asking for a sip of my water.
At that point, i had enough of the night. The guy still wanting an answer.. I asked him "are you a pathetic, douche bag, ghetto poor fucker?"
He grabbed his coat and left.


Once again, i went out for a smoke at 2:30am..

THE FUCKIN CHICK IS STILL THERE, i think cops took care of her..

Anyways, that's my little venting rant and if you work in the nightclub industry.. please hire me. I'm pretty sick of that place but I do need money.

Up @ Whistler I was w/ workmates getting gunned in Max Fish. My pint kept disappearing! I'd only get a couple of mouthfulls, then it'd be nicked as soon as my back turned to talk to someone.

I was at the show last night, and for the record am NOT affiliated with any such moron you spoke of. That said, I'm surprised they gave you such a hard time. In my experience, the most trouble a hipster causes is hurting themselves bc they are so drunk they fall down while flailing or walking. It happens.

Oh man that was a rad show being in a bar full of hipsters is really surreal though.
There's almost too much colour, neon, vomit and skinny jeans on people who shouldn't wear skinny jeans.

I had fun though, Nevada & Farshad it was great running into both of you!

Oh and I don't think hipsters are broke, most of the ones I know go to Emily Carr/are Emily Carr dropouts and have serious coke problems.

But a lot of them work hard at looking homeless. With a careful eye you can spot the expensive jeans or handbags or shoes or hoodies. A lot of hipsters have money, be it their own or their parents. They just don't look like it.
