this is news? i used to know some hippie rich kids who got their dog high every day, nobody said shit about it. the dog would run around crazy for a while, it definitely didn't have the effect of a sedative. but yeah, i'm really certain this guy is spending his days panhandling so he can buy drugs for his dog to sedate the dog while he panhandles so he can buy it more drugs. makes a whole lotta sense.

that's a quote covering the more harmful than MDMA claim.. as for the effects of prolonged use my source is from the National Post(citing I believe it was a 40year study out of either Cambridge or Oxford.. can't remember exactly) however I do recycle my papers, and am not willing to subscribe to the paper online to find the story.. it was front page a couple months ago.

uh, that's a comment on the harm of MDMA not weed. there's also no definition of what "harmful" is. basically that wonderful quote means fuck all in this discussion. if MDMA is not harmful at all and weed causes mild allergy attacks then the statement is still relatively accurate but your point isn't. but i still disagree with the statement anyway because it sites no studies or findings on THC or marijuana smoke (or anything else really).

Nevermind the Avid (Brutal pesticide) used to kill spider mites, which 90% of growers get/have because these fuckers are everywhere, from house plants at grandma's to the plants in the malls, no joke, I've seen it with my own eyes.

So yeah, THC, pretty much harmless, nutrient/Avid etc... will give you all kinds of health problems from heart palpitations to a bleeding throat.

homeless doesn't mean that the person can't support a dog. it depends on the person and it depends on the dog. they'd probably get a lot more attention than in a normal household. i've seen them before and his dog looks pretty healthy.

i think some homeless people are better dog owners because the dog has constant companionship.
it never gets left home when his owner goes out, or gets left in the baking car with the windows rolled up.
dogs who eat more bacterial infested stuff on a day to day basis have better immune systems as well. (this goes for humans as well! just think... one day we'll get hit by some flu that wipes all but the homeless out..)

i would rather be homeless and loved than to have a really nice home and be neglected.

and if i ever become re-incarnated as a dog..... please get me stoned.

There's probably almost as many homeless dogs as there are people, per capita. What exactly do you propose we do with them all, Alex? Because so far, if they don't get picked up soon enough from a shelter they get killed.

There was this guy who used to hang out in front of IGA marketplace on robson with his dog. I'd see him sleeping there on the side walk and his dog sitting beside him watching over the man. You could see they needed each other.

Who else would care for this dog, better yet- who else would care for this man? Live and let be!
