avi file with a subtitle file? What do I do?

Help please.

I downloaded the motorcycle diaries torrent as an avi, and it comes with a seperate file for the subtitles....an SUB file? I can't seem to get it to combine with the avi.

The.Motorcycle.Diaries.sub
The.Motorcycle.Diaries.avi

Just turn on the subtitles on, it should be able to read it from the srt.

If not you need a better media player.

Download VLC Media player, it's quick and easy to turn the subtitles on in it.

it was like I was almost you. it felt good. don't take that away from me.

get vlc player

convert the SUB file to a SRT file.

to do this download vobsub. then use vob resync and it'll take a few mins but its easy.
make sure the avi filename and the SRT filename are exactly the same.

your portable player should be able to play the SRT file. if not then you'd need to hardcode the avi file with the SUB file. how do you do that? i don't know but i hear google might be able to help you out.
