Savannah - should I move there?

I looked into Savannah years ago, it's a really interesting part of Georgia.

The only problem is, that you're in Georgia.

Georgia is pretty neat... I've been down in the southern part near Thomasville and the Florida border.

Not sure I'd want to live there though.

The fact that housing is so ridiculously cheap, is normally a sign that it's not such a hot place to live...

The real estate market down there was something that I found really intriguing. There are some gorgeous pieces of property.

But with those houses you get a whole lot of this...

Cheap housing does not relate to how good an area is in my view. Housing is cheaper in Regina then it is in Vancouver. I wouldn't move to Regina though.

Yes, our housing prices are crazy, and I'm sure there are several good areas that have cheaper housing then us.

I doubt Georgia is one of them.

Florida's housing prices are really cheap - my boyfriend's mom lives a block from the beach in a super awesome town about an hour from Orlando. You can buy a gorgeous, large, beach-front home there for less than $300,000. I'd pick beach-front in Florida over an average 1-bedroom condo on a busy road in Richmond or Surrey any day.
