has some of his policy leanings and others can be teased out of his speeches here and there. He started dropping more policy when he was accused of being too rhetorical. But really a lot of these things can be changed once a president is in office and is surrounded by his advisers. All these people and their roles, offices, and committees have a direct effect on how the American machine works. So it's more important to look at their track record, their economic allegiances and who they surround themselves with.

Hillary always takes on this patrician conservative outlook. At the beginning of her campaign it was about the voters, but when Obama started winning it was in "predominately black" demographics, trying to marginalize his win. Also, suddenly the voting process is secondary to the experienced decisions of the super delegates. Her opinions sway so much and generally speak to a conservative ideology.

There are a lot of bets going on that McCain will take it. It's already been written into fiction works. I'd hope that the American public would go for something slightly more moderate then mcCain. Remember, even Obama isn't going to be the wide spanning change that he promises. It's a start at least.

Honestly, I don't think that Clinton or Obama REALLY stands a chance or stood a chance from the beginning. It really is too bad, but when Americans say that they want change, they mean BABY STEPS and a woman/black president is certainly not baby steps, especially for the moderate swing-votes.
