+ $3 beers tonight at "The Max" - it's still Kamloops - fuel tank on a chopper burped and sloshed me with jet fuel nicely - can still smell it on me despite repeated cleansing + getting own apartment at the end of the month + watched a series of good movies recently

++++ I have 4 full-time temp jobs lined up pretty much one after the other till the beginning of September (with a few week long breaks right where I need/want them)! as well as a part-time job that is totally willing to work around my hours and summer plans!!

- broke my foot in two places
- currently on my 4th cast since monday - had suregery and have literal pins and needles in my foot. + got lots of pain killers as a result, fully taking my couch out for a spin. + going to eat lots of sandwiches and watch bad porn at home for a week.

+New job at BC Womens Hospital, but employed through UBC +First day was yesterday, and it was pretty neat! +$4 more an hour than what I was making at my old job +I will learn more at my job, than I have in my moa program +Offically starting driving classes in Sept. -/+ still going to work p/t at my old job, even though I don't really want to -Working Saturday +Get to see my older sister next weekend. First time in like 2 years +Medical Terms are done next week in school (finally omg) -Trying to help my boyfriend find a welding job to get his hours in to move on to level B. Times are tough and theres not a lot out there. Anyone know of anything???

Well I'm still sitting at home on compensation so that's a plus ... but let me share a story ... heh ... if you have the time ...
~ from these beginning "***" to the ending "***" is a message I just emailed my sis on the 24th (copied and pasted) .... Enjoy? Laugh.. Cry.. Become angry.. *** Hey Nik, Great to hear from you again! ~ Tell dad sorry about not calling for Father's Day, I really meant to.. things have been a bit crazy here over the last 2 weeks... about 2 weeks ago, well actually exactly 2 weeks ago, Tuesday the 9th, ~ me & D were sitting home about 11pm watching a movie, then suddenly we hear a knock on the door, at the time we weren't completely sure it was the door or the movie.. so we let it pass.. few seconds later another knock, immediately followed by someone trying the door, the door was locked but the action was surprising, to say the least... D got up, checked the peak hole and spoke to the guy asking what he wants, what he's doing?? - he just says sorry, wrong suite... so we thought nothing of it, we were a bit shaken but honest mistake, so we thought,... then @ 1 am .. it happens again, D hears someone messing around with the door .. I hear her yelling through the door to the guy asking him WTF, again he says sorry, then says, I thought I was suppose to talk to someone at this suite, D asks who are you supposed to talk to, he says he doesn't know.. finally I'm up at the door and I look through the peephole just as he leaves through the stairwell next to our entrance.. ~ we call our building emergency number , and left a message .. ~ & so basically we don't get much sleep at all after that.... next night .. about 11pm again.. we hear someone in the hall ... and also hear a few doors being tried ... we both decide to check it out , grabbed our shoes and camera this time, hall was empty by this time, so we checked the stairs - nothing, didn't hear any footsteps/running (in either stairwell) ... now we're a little more freaked out ... we didn't call emergency number this time b/c we thought maybe Maybe it's just our imagination ... Next day. Thursday... ~ 8:20am go to work as usual... around 10:30am-11am ... minding my own business, trimming veggies (corn) ... a regular customer - who comes in once a week (who happens to own the bakery across the street - who is also normally very loud and obnoxious, whom, I try my best, to stay clear of.. b/c of this) enters the store on this particular morning looking at the apricots (which happen to be right next to me - I already felt uneasy at this point).. so he then turns to me ask if that fruit is sweet.. before he even gave me Time to answer ... he continues talking saying how he's just going to try it (our policy is a customer can try a sample, so long as they are assisted by staff.. )... so he just starts popping some in his mouth, one after the other .. so I suppose I gave him a look, ya know .. and mouth full he asks me ... You don't like my attitude? .. I didn't want to start .. so I just shook my shoulders like 'i-don't-know/whatever' but I Was upset ... and again without a response from me he says, I don't like your attitude either.. ~ ~ So at this point I'm steaming inside, but I didn't want to start, you know.. I didn't know what the hell his problem was - and I didn't get much sleep either, b/c I was stressed about the hallway incident that morning, right.. ~~ ~~ So he continues talking all loud and shit now, and this is all in front of Many other customers, mind you .. and he says, "You're like a wood, you know what I'm saying to you, like a wood".. and so I'm totally confused and so I say, no, I don't know what you mean I'm a wood.. he starts rambling on and finally says, you will be here for the rest of your life, cutting vegetables.. So I kinda just laughed about it (this helped me to speak calmly) and I told him, no, i'm actually working on dj'ing and making music .. He says, You don't look like a dj. ~ I was thinking whatever, this is too long already, I was just going to let it go, but it occurred to me .. What Does a dj look like? ... So I asked him... Heh... ~ i was curious on his (or anyone's for that matter) answer to that .. so He says, "I don't know what a dj looks like (so I laughed).. but you don't look like a dj .... ~~ then ~~ Totally blew me away, Totally not expecting what he says here.. I thought it was all over ~~~ ~~~ ".. you don't look like a dj, You look like a piece of shit!" ... then... I just totally lost it!! ~ I was like "What!! what did you say!!" he says , you heard me.. so I say why would you say that? Says, cause I want to , b/c you look like a piece of shit to me, so i'm going to call you a piece of shit, you're a piece of shit ... " Okay so by the time he calls me this the 5th time .. I say Fuck You!~ ~ ....... Finally!!... 2 managers step in, asking WTF? ~ so I explain everything starting with the apricots .. and in the end they tell me to go to the back, calm down, .. and later I see them apologizing to the guy, giving him his restaurant discount and thanking him for shopping here, meanwhile other customers are wondering what the fuck ... they're all trying to defend me, most end up leaving what they were going to buy and say they will never return, some will report the managers conduct to WCB or something like that... anyways, I'm pissed of course, I end up calling the store manager, (who is also the owner) explain everything again to him ... He agrees with me on the guys previous attitude and how other store owners along the street also agree.. ~ so i ask what he will do about it, how I don't feel safe in my workplace, especially when the managers on duty don't defend their employees.. just to make 1 asshole customer happy ... basically he says , he'll see to it.. ~ Okay, so... Done.. ~ for now. ~ during wednesday and thursday, we loosely talk to other tenants about not letting people into the building who they don't know, about our experiences over the last 2 nights... you know, making everyone aware type of thing.. building safety.. ~ So now it's Thursday night, I actually joked about how the hallway dude would show up and we should be ready, ... camera ready, shoes ready .~ . 11 pm, nothing ... 12 pm , nothing .. so we go to sleep ... THEN 1:15 am .. D's awake, whispering to me, he's here, he's here .. I got up Quick.. grabbed the camera, and was out the door, just as the emergency door was closing... I open the emergency door and yell, Hey WTF.. he stops then... ~ SNAPSHOT!! (see photo attached) ... Heh heh heh Gotcha! ~ to get to the point, his story is ... in his own words .. "I'm conducting an experiment.. I believe I'm telepathically communicating with someone who I believe is in your suite.. " he stops and then asks ME, ".. is it you, are you the one?" I was like I don't know what your taking about, .. so you hear voices in your head is that what your saying?" He just kept going on about his telepathy and shit like that... ~ while I'm talking to him D knocks on other tenants doors (so we have witnesses..) ~ the next door people come, ... ~ finally he starts walking down again, but stops at the floor below!! so I ask, "do you belong here, do you live here.. " HE lives Below us!?!?! " ~ we called management again the minute we discovered Everything, showed the pic the next day .. also, that morning (no sleep again, of course) when we got up for work, we heard the guy Screaming, Reallly Really screaming in the bathroom, like he was totally insane!! .. we mentioned that to management too.. ~ then... the next day we find about a gram of weed at our door, just as another tenant comes to talk to us at our door ... we all decided that maybe, that it was that dudes 'peace-offering' .. we all suggested to just put it back in front of his door ... if it is from him, he gets the message that we don't accept his offering, .. if it isn't from him, he can have it anyway .. we don't want it in front of our door .. ~ ~ So we've been trying to get on with our lives and let management deal with it, b/c our nerves are pretty much shot from it ... the following thursday, that baker shows up at work again, early, not even 9 am yet, the same people are working, actually I heard him, then saw him, I got upset inside, thinking WTF, why's he in here, nobody really paid much attention to him, but they still let him buy things and they still gave him the business discount ... that pissed me off .. ~ I just noted to myself that I would let the store manager know that he showed up again.. and didn't talk about it to the rest of the staff who knew about the last week's incident but still served him that day... Argh! WTF... ... Anyways, lunch time comes around, and the cashier who served him approaches me and starts telling me how that baker was in the store and how no-one paid him any mind, how they weren't as friendly to him this time ... I told her, You still rang the bell to get the manager to give him his discount, who the hell cares if you say hi to him or not, he saved money in our store, that's pretty fucken friendly, considering he knows what he got away with... ~ ~ anyways, Friday came along, and the store manager brought his 13 year old daughter in to work (summer break) and somehow I never got around to talking to him about the baker the whole day ... Weekend was great! had a BBQ at the beach, right on the sand this time, it was beautiful, a bit cold that day, but we made the most of it - considering our week .. BBQ was for a friend of ours, Toshi, Japanese dude going back to Japan end of the month... then we brought the party back to our place, I got to spin at home in 'public' ... heh ... felt great ... ~ oh yeah, ever since the first baker incident, I've been looking for a new job, more related to music, promotions/sales ... I have a trial promotions thing going on right now in fact, not getting paid officially yet for it, but honestly I don't really care right now, just finding my niche sort-a-say .. meeting a lot of dj's, promoters, producers ... the like... it fun ... cool .. you can probably imagine my excitement... ..... I'll tell you more about that again soon .. getting back to the craziness!! haha.. Monday comes, I sleep in, call it in, store mgr opened, arrive at work at 9 am, so I gotta catch up work-wise before I get into telling store mgr about thursday-baker thing ... so I'm rushing for the next hour ... around 10:30 that morning ... I'm trimming the organic cabbage ... I suppose I was still a bit mentally asleep, rushing (although, by this time I didn't really need to be, I was caught up, but I knew I wanted to talk about the baker thing, so I wanted to get ahead for the day, so as not to fall behind again later, ya know... ) so anyways, 10:30. cabbage. ... my knife slips ... and I stab myself through my rubber glove and into my left thumb ... I freak! ... running through the store towards the back, see Rommel .. ask for Bandaids, he gets those, I'm feeling all queasy in the back, feeling faint and what-not .. finally Rommel comes back, calm as fuck.. while I'm freakin' .. tells me to relax, I know he's right, it wasn't helping, but it hurt So Bad ... we remove the glove and there was so much blood, ... It was a pretty clean cut though, straight in and out .. we manage to get it clean and dressed .. I sit for awhile .. seemed a long time ... drank some water, do the drill, raise legs lift cut above heart, get oxygen by water .. try to relax... ~ suddenly it's quarter to 12... get a doc to check me out .. no stitches ... go home early .. store mgr suggests, I didn't really think it was necessary, but it was doctor's orders too , that night discuss with store mgr, compensation with WCB ,, cool .. ... so I didn't work yesterday either ... heh ... so yesterday Day ... ... get this... the guy downstairs ... STILL lives There!!!... I don't know what the hell management is waiting for, but we know have just about the entire building aware, and we are ALL hearing his crazy hysterical yelling and screaming at 1,2 3 in the morning every other night... I just assumed the process was taking a while, besides I had so many other things going on too, as you've read ... heh .. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ So now you're up-to-date ... I need to rest my mind for a long moment ... (just so you know, I didn't write all this in one sitting, I did it in two.. started yesterday) my thumb is okay, for the most part ... work just called, right now too, didn't answer, not sure if I know if I'm going to go to work tomorrow, I'm sure that's what they're calling about, anyways, your eyes are probably Super strained by now, and maybe your nerves too, heh... I'm mail you again tomorrow, hopefully nothing TOO crazy happens til then ... I don't think I can handle anymore, mentally OR physically ... Hah. *** And that's my story... In response to the kitty litter issues/topic...
there is also the corn cat litter.. tried it once, found it very tasty... JK.. no seriously, it hid the poop and it's scent.. instant clumping.. AND FLUSHABLE... environmentally safe ... - but for me the fact that it was flushable sold me..
