My office is at Hastings and Howe so we saw the smoke too.

Sat with no lights, no a/c and no phones for a couple hours, took a long lunch, came back to find there was still no power so decided to close at 3. Nice day for me but clients are going to be pissed tomorrow.

Drive home was good, there were traffic cops on every intersection without functional lights which was awesome, as they kept pesky pedestrians in check too. Hydro says that some customers won't get their power restored until 11pm tomorrow night.

Regarding when this will be fixed....I gave my alarm company instructions to call me when the power goes back on in my office, regardless of the hour, and they still haven't called. I really hope I'm operational tomorrow or I'm losing a ton of business and facing really pissed off people.

Turns out too....not only was my office without power, but my company's server is in Harbour Centre so none of our offices have been able to do shit all day. If this continues I can't even move to another office or refer clients to another office as our whole system is down and we can't do anything. :notrust:

and pedestrians seemed to think that because there's no lights, they rule, and would actually walk out infront of my friends truck and stop us and give dirty looks as they slowly walked past.
