Fear of Clowns...

Anyone here actually afraid of clowns?

Is there anything you can pin on this fear or is it just an uncontrolled reaction?

To me such a fear is great entertainment....ergo:

Clowns make me really uncomfortable. They always have. It's not a full blown "run away in terror" but if a clown is near me I get quite scared.

Intrestingly enough, my Dad has a fear of clowns too.

Seriously, the guy who does that show is AMAZING. He has like 3 different puppets, and hes a genius when it comes to comedy. My mom and I love him.

They creep me out. I wouldn't run and hide from them, but they make me a little uncomfortable.

I don't really fear them, but I do find them annoyingly disturbing. A lil uncomfortable around them. When i was about really young, like 3-4, I remember having a dream where I was lying in bed unable to wake up or move and there was a creepy clown head sticking out of the corner of where the two walls and the ceiling meet, laughing and screaming.

That is interesting. Do you know the origin of clowns btw...or have you ever since you can remember without incident just had such a fear?
