IPod Touch Software updates

i hardly use my touch for anything other than just listening to music. i have just never bothered. we all know how i feel about my blackberry.

when you plug in your itouch to your itunes it will automatically update it when there is an update.

if you just listen to music, it's not worth it.....but for $10, I'm willing to bet you'd make use of all the free apps in the app store (or even paid ones), and start using it for more than music.

you dont have to pay $10 to update, you can just download the 2.0 update and manually restore your ipod to it by holding shift and clicking restore.
you will obviously have to resync everything though but its free so i'd say it's worth it. also, unless you have an itunes store account you'll need a credit card to make an account to get the free apps.

oops. wow ive never heard of mac doing a update that costs money. so the update is just to get apps?

^i've used the safari on my ipod once.

other than that i have never used any functions other than simply listening to music.

if im going to get some use out of these apps (which i know nothing about) i'll update.

i know its only $10. but i don't want to waste it on something i'll never use.

if its for apps id go for it. there's weather, map, unit converters, notes, FACEBOOK, flashlight, doodle stuff, labyrinth... just to name a few. i think it would be a good 10 bucks spent. does itouch take pics?

my itouch phone has now crashed two of my computers in under 2 weeks doing my updates or just plugging it in. pretty happy about it:notrust:
