I played 14 games last spring. My first time playing with a team on ice. Scored 3 goals and 5 assists in an amateur league. They were beauts. I can't wait to play again when my knee gets better.

Man, the reactions on the hockey columns and blogs (and their comments) have been highly entertaining. General gist:

I dunno, when I watch a game it's so I actually know how the game went. If you aren't watching any games, and only reading about it then you are just repeating what someone else things about the game.

For example, someone who has sex, has way more of an idea of what it's all about vs some kid who owns a penthouse fourm.

Yeah, the kid reads a lot and see's the highlights, but I he has no clue what's going on.

I trust the writer who writes how the game went. All the speculation crap is just speculation. If it's a soft goal it's a soft goal. That's they only "real" problem I find they have been facing. The Sandman did put in his best effort on Linden night.... not too much he could have done against Ganger. poke check? and somthing about a poor powerplay...

I personally am a fan of the social aspect of spectator sports. I don't have cable, but I love going to a pub during a game. A true taste of Canadian culture right there.

I think the point is that there's a lot of people who say they're fans but only ever tune in for the playoff games, and only if we're doing well. They are what are typically called "bandwagoners".

I've always enjoyed watching Hockey games, you get a lot more out of it than just reading the highlights.

We've probly both watched hockey since we are kids right? Sports was number one for a long time for me. Just different priorities right? I've always been a fan for the Canucks, and even when things are not going well I always look for positives.

Personally I actually prefer watching Junior games. Not as much finesse but seriously about 10 times the heart.
