New Years resolutions (2009)

Get my license/car
become PADI instructor (or at least divemaster)
be meaner to people i dont like
lose some fuckin weight

to stay happy with myself,
spend more time with friends and family

Spend more time with friends is my number 1 resolution! :)
Do modelling for at least 2 photoshoots.
Get a promotion/ pay raise.
Have at least 1/5 of a downpayment on a condo.
Get really into either free running, crossfit, or capoeira this summer... or maybe all three.

Keep up with my resolutions of last year which, so far, I've managed to do and by doing them I have become a significantly happier and better individual!

-max out my credit card and loc plus apply for as much credit as i possibly can (and then declare bankruptcy)
-get pregnant, an abortion and an std

Why wait until the new year to make changes to make life better? Why not make solutions before a problem occurs? then.. as John Lennon stated in "Watching The Wheels".. 'There are no problems, only solutions.'

What if.. the new year doesn't come, because you waited to make a change.. sad thought, but possible.

That's it so far, didn't really keep to my last years resolutions so this year I'm going for things that I know I can do fo-sho fo-sho.

Mainly career and health goals:

- try to finish BCIT program with at least an A minus average in May
- kick ass in new cardiac surgery ICU position
- write the GMAT or GRE and apply to grad school and start in Sept
- stress less
- sleep more
- exercise more
- internet less
- apologize less
- be less of a doormat
- host more dinner parties
- take lots of one week or less vacations (or a long 6-8 week trip if i don't get into grad school)

- No more drinking or smoking (I already do this!) (...sorta)
- Volunteer at the SPCA
- Visit my Grandparents more often
- More Sunday dinners with my Parents
- Go somewhere hot and sit on a beach for a few days

i am not one to make 'new year's resolutions' as i think that one should resolve to be the best they can throughout the year...but these are some things i'd like to do in the new year (for serious this time):

-sew more
-learn how to silk screen and make neat t-shirts, etc. for friends
-continue to be a gluten free girl for the most part as well continue to not eat the things i am allergic t0 (even though they are delicious)
-learn to take better photos with existing camera and eventually purchase a slr
-take advantage of the inexpensive continuing education course i am entitled to

-stay 100% drug free (even the herb)
-get my application in for university before the deadline passes
-eat healthier
-excersize more
-divulge personal details on the internet less lol

- complete sun run (along with 13 week running clinic that starts next month) without walking
- get back on the mat
- hopefully figure out what i want to do when i grow up
