targeted facebook ads

So I guess facebook et. al uses some kind of techy algorithm that tailors the ads you see to your interests (I know there is a name for this, it's escaping me right now.) However, I always get the same ads for "Slimming Tea" and "Cabana Tannning" despite having no interest in either weight loss or fake-and-baking. I'm guessing that they just assume every female in her 20s wants to be tanned and skinny?

So I'm curious, what ads to you get?

I dont think the algorithm works too well as i always get advertisements for christian dating websites, haha!.

you can vote down ads which really doesn't do much but put up more irrelevant ads. for whatever reason i got a free tans ad as well. latino's don't need to tan wtf.
