local clubs?

So I grew out of the whole rave thing several years back but I miss the good tunes, crowds and loud music. What clubs offer that around here? Shine is one, no? I used to like lots of DnB and breaks but I like a lot of house these days. Whats around?

Lotus has been a solid staple of house music for the last decade.
Celeb's has a pretty good electro Friday Night.
Apparently Redroom is happening again.

However most of the best nights I'm finding are afterhours. If you're still into DnB Shah DJ's throw killer shows, and if you're looking to move to Dubstep then Lighta! always throws amazing parties.

Nice, I'm going to have to check some of these places out. Totally miss the good choons. Although, I'd kill for another plaza party, haha. What's standard dress code at these sort of places? I'm a jeans and hoodie kind of guy.

Don't dress like you're at the Cobalt and you'll be okay.

Jeans and hoodie are alright as long as it's not like super torn jeans. Basically don't look like the panhandlers outside and you'll do fine.

some of those "bedazzled" t shirts are 700+ dollars. dom rebels shit is hand laid cyrstals. but who would want to let people with money actually spend it when they can let in people wearing skin tight knit sweaters with D&G and hollister plastered across the chest whilst buying whatever todays special is, right?

for the record, i don't wear any of the above except some ed hardy from time to time but i don't need anyone giving me fashion advice that pics up the latest trends from winners.

well, you did ask about dress code, and Ive seen people turned away from lotus because they are wearing affliction and ed hardy, just looking out for a fellow brother who sounds like he wants to have a good time. so if this came off the wrong way (as messages always do) than my apologies :)

btw all the underground warehouse party's I do, I make sure my doormen know not to let in people that wear that stuff, and look/act like "gangsters". From my experience they just bring in bad attitudes and rob good vibes from the party. so If acting as you say as a "bar watch" to have my fellow people a good time, than im all for it.

IMO its all about having a fun and enjoying music, somewhere down the line people forgot that. acting tough, mean muggin, supporting terrible music, and dressing like douche bags is the like the new thing to do, it must suck having to act like a jerk all the time and I truly feel sorry for the this generation. it makes me more and more greatful everyday. but hey dont get me wrong not all people who wear ed hardy are bad people.

keep in mind this is just my opinion, I live my life based on spiritual principals, and do my best to follow guys like Underground Resistance.....
