Tsunami sushi on Robson - Question..

Hey you've seen Tsunami before with the little boats that go around the centre with different portions on food on them well..

A) Is there a name for that? I'm pretty sure there is.

B) Is there any more places around that do that? When I was in Australia I saw ones with conveyer belts as well lol. I'd like to find another place east of Vancouver that does that.

From what I can remember there's a place in metrotown, a couple in Richmond and Burnaby.

It's not super rare...

The whole conveyor belt thing got me thinking..wouldn't it be cool to have a Fordist-style sushi restaurant where your order is made by robotics on a conveyor belt? For full effect there would have to be a lot of wzzzzzing and brrrring noises, maybe even a steam-pipe. I would definitely eat there.

You gotta avoid ALL "all u can eat" sushi places. Laska has a point... You gotta wonder when you don't take the "all you can eat" section and wonder if you're getting freshly served sushi when it gets to your table in no time. Who the fuck knows if that shit was off the conveyor belt or not.

Too many what if's? I like wonder-free food imo.

The one by the Bay and the one by the skytrain have the boats.

Side note, there is actually a place on Denman called "Robo Sushi" that uses a Sushi 3000 to make your sushi.

It's not as cool as you'd think because other then the name and the machine (that you can barely see) they don't roll with the robot theme.
