Winning Prizes Over the Phone

It's happened to me countless times. I'll get a call from a number out of the province letting me know that I'm a winner of $2001 dollars! Or I've won a vacation Prize Pack!

I've gotten these so many times I basically zone them out. I figure, if i actually won something an actual person would be calling me and not some automated system.

Has anyone ever actually cashed in on these prizes? Was I overly suspicious and just lose my free 10 day trip to Florida? I wonder if vacation companies are having a hard time giving away prizes that people sign up for because of this..

i've been getting a lot of phone calls on free travel money by machine too. when i check the number it is usually from alberta or some b.s. place.

if you have no recollection of entering such bullshit, that immediately should send up a red flag.

Actually, its a scam. If you talk to the people they ask for your credit card information to confirm your ticket and that you are 19 years of age. When you don't give it to them they hang up on you. It's actually a call from the mid east that is using a host number out of alberta through a phone system. They don't get your number or information it just auto dials all number possible till someone picks up.
