graphics on my car

Was playin around in photoshop, thinkin of doing this.
I go to school for auto refinishing so i could do this myself for a grand total of $100 at the most, probably closer to 70

There would be a black outline aroudn the blue to hide the paint line since my car is single stage paint.

Sammy, think it would look better if i messed around wiht the color?

note: there would HAVE to be a vinyl outlnie around the graphic to hide the paint line, as i am not repainting the whole car

i agree with sammy... you can do much better... blue blobs that look with water splashes dont do it for me....you may as well make your car the blue polka dot 240. that would be hawt

Ahh also if anyone wants to give this a go, this image CANT be airbrushed directly onto the paint, it has to be something that can be shaped out of very thin tape (thats what we use to make flames)

i don't think you should put any graphics on your car, frankly. cuz you'll probably get tired of it really fast. I know i would.

but if you're gonna, I say you keep it very monochromatic. perhaps stick with black. or maybe take into acount the color palette on the inside of your car and try to reflect it in the graphic on the side of your car.

i dunno...the graphic you're thinking about looks to...bubbly...and the powder blue? i dunno...it reminds me of sailor moon or the powerpuff girls. unless that's what you're going for???

and whatever you do...don't do flames...or fire. you might as well just spray paint the word "tacky" all over your car with orange spraypaint.

keep it simple...and small...and monochromatic.

my original idea was to actually do what u said, and make it match other parts of my car so it doens't stand out that much. I was gonna do it graphite colored, but then this chick's like no no it'll look better blue so i did itblue and it looked aight

You're right, i would get sick of lookin at it, but im also sick of lookin at a plain white car. Its not drawing enough attention anymore :(

perhaps keep a solid black outline (i like that idea) and maybe if it's possible, use a very dull silver as the fill for your graphic?

that way the color palette would be white, black and silver.

i think you'd need another color other than black, for sure though. because then your car might look to zebra-ish.

I think this looks pretty good. i KNOW this'll only work in a picture because of the lighting. My car is actually ivory white not white so if i did white with black outlines it would stand out but not like this. Im gonna buy some pinstriping and shape these out tomorow to see how it looks.

i reeeaaaaalllly wouldn't do it. like really really REALLY wouldn't do it. cuz you will get attention..but i think it will be mostly people pointing and laughing.

then again, i don't know anything about cars. but if you do end up doing it...keep it simple.

Paint the front and rear red and keep the doors white, get a viynl maple leaf cut out and slap it on the door.

If you payed for the paint, sandpaper, body filler, primer, and my time, and waited a couple months till i finish school, go back to work, and can buy myself a nice high quality spray gun, then yes.
