art shows/exhibitions..
if you know any interesting art shows/exhibition/performance art shows ANYTHING.. goin on... share the info!
lookin at the lounge it looks like a few of you fnkers are really into urban art/grafitti stuff.. any hiphop shows like that..fill us in! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm art shows..great way to use up time and great way to absorb the art culture around us...and helps inspire many as well. im REALLY mad that i missed the drawing show at the VAG..anyone know what the next VAG exhibition is? i know Dan Graham is at the contemporary art gallery right now.. he does really neat geometric installation stuff... im not too clear, but ive seen some pics and its totally interesting work.

there's tons of little urban shows out here. i sometimes put my stuff in monthly art shows that take place at Element...it's a little jungle/breaks/dancehall club and they have weekly installations of our work and stuff.

come to cap to our studio.. there is an exhibition on by a printmaker. her last name is suzuki... i forget her first. she is extremely accomplished and has won many awards all over the world for her works. shes amazing and we are so lucky to have her with us at cap, shes gonna be here for i think two semesters doing somethign with our teacher, using our shop and helping us out when we need.
its an excellent show. there is always new stuff bein put up in our studio its wicked. there is an awesome small showing at douglas college in new west in the building where the theartre is. this woman paints all these industrial scenes and makes small sculptures outta pipes and stuff. i totally dig it, he color use is intense. thers postings all over my building for shows, tonight ill go record them and post them here for sure.

Every Friday at the gallery lounge at UBC they have a sweet little hip hop/jungle/breaks/dnB thing there...but you have to be 19+
