Ok i was a kande kid for a few years

and i never did any of that shit...... at my first party the people i went with gave me a glow stick, and Jungle boy Bob tossed it in the trash can.


I'm really shy, really really shy, and Candy kids kept trying to drag me into there tents... and made me join snuggle puddles and stuff and like tried to touch my pants because they were high on E and like i use to get kid naped all the time... It was scary

ok, i dont know if this is true or not, i heard way back in the day, junglist used to dress "some what" kandy....with their bright ties and tent like pants....none of this camo or something...not to sure though i just heard it from a friend thats been ravin forever it seems!

The best answer to the question is this: Quit worrying so much about what others are doing and mind your own business. If someone wants to candy out and its cool for them... GREAT!! We all seem to forget why we started to party in the first place...we could show up and do whatever we wanted and nobody thought different of it.

Too much attitude at parties now.... cliched maybe, but PLUR was something we all thought meant 'RAVE' at one point... too bad we don't think the same anymore.

I like SOME candy kids. Considering I was one not to long ago I think I will always have a soft spot for them, I doubt I will ever hate them or anything like that. Of course the candy kids I used to hang out with were a lot older than the ones that are out there now, and they weren't so "in your face" with the vicks and the huggs and all that other stuff. I never did any of that when I was candy. Just because you dress like a candy kid doesn't mean you have to act like one.

that is correct! back in '99/'00 (at the very least) they all used to wear 3/4 length flood pants with untucked dress shirts, brightly coloured ties and usually hats with their 'raver names' on them. this was also a period of time when jump-up was fairly big. jump-up is a rather silly and relatively happy form of jungle, which might explain the lack of urban macho posturing that prevades junglist culture now. oddly enough, from what i can remember, even with the retardly happy and cheezy music, the 'junglists' still felt themselves to be badass and on the cutting edge, of sorts. i'm guessing that was a relic of the times when jungle actually was somewhat badass and cutting edge. kind of ironic considering that jumpup was mundane and formulaic.

(note: junglists are not to be confused with people who like jungle)

I think the shirt n tie thing is/was adorable...

As for the whole kandE kid thing... sure some of them can be really annoying but so can tekkers and junglists and fuck any other type of social group be it in "raves" or not. People in general can be annoying. Personally I miss seeing a buncha fun happy kandE kids just like Winston said.

I used to be big into it... I used to make crazy outfits for a bunch of people and I still have and wear my kandE on occasion. Who knows maybe I'll pull out my old leopard outfit for kicks some day.

Why do you need to discrimanate against any type of person because they look/dress a lil different? I think it's fucking ridiculous. You don't like it? You find it annoying?? Then piss off and don't pay attention to them... if they come up to you politely ask them to leave you alone. It's not THAT hard.
