Just watched the news on channel 11. Theres gonna be commercials out clowning Telus for using animals in their commercials and to get customers away from Telus.

Lmao you know what i just started to see those kind of comercials on tv...i was like LMAO......haha sukkas!!!! I used to be with telus.....but i left my phone bill with them just kept on getting more and more hidden charges on it...became to expensive for me......but yeh any how back to topic.....they are totaly making fun of telus now....its kinda funny...because telus is one of the major phone companies out here...

are you talking about the crtc commercials with the dalmations?

it's really sad because all this is caused by the c.e.o of the company, Darren Entwistle. he is just making cutbacks after cutbacks.

the commercials are placed by the TWU (the telecommunications Workers Union). They encourage customers to lodge their complaints about the company to the CRTC (the regulatory body) in hopes that the CRTC will put enough pressure on the company as so they will have no choice but to give in to some of the unions grievences.

well i knew the twu was the union... we all have our nuts representin in the workplace right. but i just caught the commercial while i was at boston pizza and their little tv's have no sound. i actually kind of want to see it again, my mom said it was pretty bad, lol. but the commercial was made by the crtc was it not?

nah, they're done by the union... but they do put the crtc's number on at the end, but only cuz they want ppl to call

i just upgraded my account to the talk 75 and got that new picture phone

i got a few bones to pick with em

-the camera sucks the phatt one 8====D :017: there is no flash.....why would you make a camera with no flash....i tried to take pix at NYE 2004 i got a few but that was only when the bright white lights flashed upon the crowd..... and the picture quality is poo, at the time of purchase i wasnt even thinking about flash obviously because it was day time, but thats my mistake.

-like my fellow telus users my bill keeps getting bigger- and im on the talk 75 plan where i get 750 a month + $25 free evening and weekend....so my bill monthly should be 100 but it still manages to exeed 170

-the phone is like carring glass, i mean i bought it for the camera, so i know you have to be careful, but it so fragile! you think they could nave made it more durable!

- the only case you can buy for it makes the phone 10 times bigger.....and if your like me i like to wear my phone on the inside of my pocket......it reminds me of the old brick phones(member those?)....and it has this white stitching to make it look like a cowboys phone! WTF

-and the thing doesnt even come with 1 game!

all in all im pretty disapointed with telus!!

so to them......... :finger:

So basically you don't telus mobility because you couldn't be bothered to do a bit of research beforehand, and so you ended up with a phone you don't like?

crtc =/= union.

The CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commision) is a Government regulatory body. Unions have no connection to any government bodies, they exist of and for their members.

To the best of my knowledge, though, those ads are put out by the union that represents telus' workers.

so basically you have 5 complains here, and 4 out of 5 of them concern THE PHONE and not telus.. so what the hell does this have to do with telus? all telus does is provide cellular servicing (ie. talk time, messaging, etc), and its up to you to choose which phone you want. charly's right, you should've looked more into the phone before you bought it, and its your fault for choosing it.

another thing, how many other phones do you see out there with a fricken flash? its really really REALLY stupid to assume that you'll be able to just use the phone's picture-taking ability in place of a REAL camera

yeah i know i could have done more reserch.....but you dont know most of it till youve had the phone for a while.

as for hidden charges, i don't agree at all with your complaint. i have a phone through rogers and telus, and for both i knew of the charges ahead of time... but then again i also read before i sign something. i looking at my contact for my telus camera phone right now, and it very clearly states the system licensing charge and 911 charge in the first paragraph.

when i renued my contract and got my new phone, i was told if i give them my old phone it would cover some chages and what not, but on my last 2 bill i have recieved 2 $25 hardware change services...........??umungsed other fuckin his i didnt know about and i did read my contract

have you even tried contacting customer service? they might be able to explain what's going on, a mistake could've been made or something. try it, it's usually a good way to sort things out. companies make mistakes, things happen. it's one of the reasons we have customer service.

on another note, you can usually try phones out in the store. it's not hard to find out which ones you do and don't like..
