I've been looking too, it's all pretty much the same everywhere. Airfare = expensive.

i've heard that people think finding tickets online is cheaper than going to a flight centre type of place and because of this it's usually more expensive.

don't know if it's true though.

Getting a travel agent is your best bet. Get price quotas and what not with the agent, then find a site who can beat it. Some ticket sites are sketchy though.

Where ever you go, don't fly air canada :P

My dad went to Texas in september, paid about $600 for his flight when air canada wanted about $1,300 for the same one. Ugh. He did book online with travelocity.ca best price he found.

Try www.expedia.ca.

As a travel agent, I can tell you that if you are flexible with your dates, that will definitly help! Also, re-check the sites that you have already checked, because airfares can change up to 10 times a day!!!!

Hope that helps!

I'm also a travel agent and basically agree with a lot of what's been said. As far as online bookings go or booking with a travel agent goes just be sure to find out what the actual total cost of the flight is. So by this I mean including processing fee's, taxes and any other charge that will be added. I know in particular that flight center is notorious for advertising fares that are about half of the actual cost when all is said and done. Also if you are going some where for less than 7 nights besure to include a Saturday night stay, I'm note sure why exactly but your flight will be more than twice as expensive if you don't.
