acid wash jeans

anybody know how to give denim an acid wash???

i made a mini skirt, and i guess the denims already acid washed...but it's not light enough...i want splotches of white!

should i throw on the bleach then let it sit? for how long? or should i just rinse it out quickly?
should i stick too hot water, or cold water?
how should i apply the bleach!?

i don't want it to turn yellow on me...and i don't want the whole skirt white!

i just did it to a denim skirt. Just throw the bleach on in splotches undiluted and wait a little bit. Then put the whole thing in bleach water for a little bit longer. It made the most kick ass skirt ever.

what was the original color and how long did you leave the bleach in before you washed it out?

the skirts already faded, i just wanna add some white splotches!

it was a dark kind of denim colour, so i wouldnt put it in the bleach water stuff. Just put on splotches of it. Just watch it and wash it off when it turns white. Thats what i did. I left it on for almost half an hour. It'll only fuck up the fabric if you leave it on like overnight or something. :)
