Hardstylin's Healthy Top 10's

Do to alot of pms from people asking for tips on healthy eating and what not heres my top 10, if you follow all 10 u will loose weight without even working out the first 2 will be tuff but if your
serious about toning up a bit ull do them.

1.NO FAST FOOD!!, nothing, not even starbucks drinks :)
2.NO BOOZE stop drinking for a month see what happens.Booze is loaded with calories you dont need!!
3.NO POP, drink water instead.
4.NO CHIPS, buy rice cakes instead even if there flavored ones.
5.NO CHOCOLATE/BARS,if you are craving chocolate in any shape or form eat a piece of fruit(apples,grapes,strawberries,ect.)
6.Drink 1% milk instead of 2%
7.STOP eating white bread!!!! eat brown bread instead
8.Eat 4 or 5 smaller meals instead of 2 or 3 big ones.
9.EAT MORE FIBER, this will help you stay full longer and speeds up metabolisim, good sources are, fruits/veggies,brown breads,alot of cereals.
10.EAT MORE PROTIEN, protien helps in the building of muscle, more muscle means a faster metabolisim which makes loosing fat alot easier,Protien also makes u feel full longer, good sources are, eggs(6g per egg),milk(8g per 250ml),tuna(25g per can),Chicken breast(15g per breast)

yes most of the fat cooks off plus fat isnt a problem to many carbs are.

isnt some fruit bad for you? high in carbs or is that vegetables im thinking of...im really bad at this, i was on this like eating plan thing once...and i didnt understand ANY of it :soak:

some vegetables are ya, like potatoes,and avocotos i think there called have shit loads of fat in them. Im pretty sure all fruits are ok.

^^ ya man the fat cooks off :) all that liquid stuff in the pan after the bacon is cooked is fat, mmm bacon i eat it every day for breakfast :)

No the answer is no
fruit and veggies are not bad for you - but if you are following low carb plans there are some fruit or veggies that aren't 'alllowed' during the induction phaze because of their high carb content

which is one of the many reasons I call bullshit on Atkins - we as a society don't get enough natural foods as is and these types of plans have people thinking that fruit and veggies are a bad thing to injest

if you are craving chocolate - make yourself some chocolate milk w/ skim milk and a powder -- or have a fat free chocolate pudding

If you are at a fast food place - there are alternatives to their grease burgers with fries -

Learn about serving sizes :)

and if you are really serious about losing weight talk to a doctor or nutritionist cause there is so much bad info flying around there these days it's got averyone confused.

i didnt mean bad for you, i meant bad for as in it has high carbs and that would be considered being bad for you if your trying a low carb diet or just trying to not eat things with alot of carbs

You guys are on the right track, but not quite there, I donut feel like typing out my program right now though.


P.S. Excercise should be the #1 on the list.

P.P.S Dairy, sugar and wheat are evil.

ya excersise should be #1 but most people wont do it. why is dairy evil?? its an awsome source of protien.

Why? Cuz cows are pumped full of growth hormones, antibiotics and what not. And the puss count per million is fucking gross. Humans don't need milk after a certain age, anyways. Milk makes me gag. So I use soy milk instead.

^^^ what is the grouse grind and you sayed ur were a pro athlete in what?? by the looks of your program you defenitly look like and endurance athlete which doesnt help people who want to put some mass on.

I was a pro cross country mountain biker by the time I was 18. Now I just ride a lot of freeride and road.

My program is based upon health and energy, it can easily be tweaked for a more sedintary lifestyle. I'm not sure where the whole putting mass on thing comes in, you haven't mentioned it in this thread.

The Grouse grind is a trail that goes almost vertically up the side of Grouse mountain, it is like 1.8km of hell. Good times, you should try it.

1.8km of hell ummm i think ill pass :) ya the thread was kinda a spin off from pms ive been giving people who have asked for weight programs and what not, none of them are in stone of course there just basic steps you can take to having a healthier diet its basically my diet :) which very few people on this board would want to stick with cause it is not fun :) but it does work if you follow it!!

33.30 minutes shit., thats good i got a bad 57 or something just under an hour. i tried to go up it fast but i didn't pace myself so i ripped through the first half than during the middle i lagegd badly.

than i finished so so but was winded.

maybe if i had kept shape instead of being a lazy ass i can achieve around 50 minutes

i pretty much follow ALL of these :kimmie: (was my new years resolution to eat better).... except for the no drinking... :kam: NOT gonna happen... i dont need to loose weight.. but im tryin to stay healthy....

i dont eat hamburger... and RARLEY eat any red meat.... but have been craving a big juicey steak lately and been eating peanut butter out of the jar.... i take this as i am cravin some protien.. any suggestions for protien suppliments? i was lookin at soy protien.... what do you think?
