Why FNK is better then Clubvibes...

After spending some time going to clubvibes, purely out of venue looking, I spent a little time in the realm of filth and realized why I like FNK. Post your reasons for liking or disliking.

1) Everyone here isn't online for the purpose of hooking up
2) Way better music!
3) Way better venues, you'll hear about all dance events before Clubvibes even knows they exist.
4) More friendly in my opinion, these boards are dominated by PLUR
5) open minded!
6) much better members in my opinion!
7) No top 40 bullshit!

the only complaint I could think of is the fact that FNK runs so slow when a lot of people are online, compared to clubvibes which can handle a lot. Otherwise it wins hands down~! :tounge1:

I use clubvibes when I'm going into town and not sure where I want to hit up....

I've never tried becoming part of the online community.....

I talked to the webmaster for CV for a couple minutes at Insomnia, super nice guy. If you're reading this, I was the guy wearing the Jager visor near the end of the night talking to you and Mercedes.

CV is a festering pit of depravity. In order to find any decent conversation, you have to head to specialty forums... "sports" and "current affairs" are both pretty decent.. with some informed opinions to be found.

"Movies" and "music" are bland.

"The Scene" is good for event info (and infinite promo-whoring)

Everything else is hideous.

Hope this clears things up for people considering a visit to CV!

PS ---> this site is no great shakes either. Neither CV or FnK compare to the defunct Ed.com, which didn't compare to lounge-x.com

haha, clubvibes is a great place if it's your thing. two different sites, two different crowds. im sure people have left FNK only to pursue CV and visa-versa.

Hi, I'm Rascally. I'm the guy who runs Clubvibes.com. I'm not Miles. Miles does promotional work for us. He's unrelated to sNyx. I promise.

Speaking of sNyx, he's right. It's two different crowds. I happen to co-exist on both sites. So do a LOT of people. What's the big deal? We don't insult you guys. I mean think, when you're insulting the members on that site, you're actually insulting a lot of people here. :)

Clubvibes.com has about 85,000 members worldwide. We cover about 14 cities actively.

It's different focus, too. If I want to look for club nights, I check there. I want to look for parties, I check here.

Both places have community. Both places have drama.

It's just that one has primarily bar stars, and the other one has primarily candy ravers (I was at the last fnk meet on Saturday...trust me, I looked out of place)

Frankly, I don't see the big deal, and I don't see the need for a thread like this. "open minded"? This sure doesn't look it too me.

If anyone has any questions, comments or concerns about "that other place", let me know.

I like CV better for the sole reason that there's way more users, and therefore way more activity. I'd say the levels of the threads there are about on par with here, but when hundreds are posted everyday, it's easier to find something worth reading. This site features way less new threads, therefore there's more often way less worth reading. There are good people on both, shitty people on both, and people looking to "hookup" on both, don't fool yourselves. I also like CV because I don't feel ancient there, this place has become populated with 16 year olds over the past year.
