You think so? (on the low penalties) I dont know - Obviously both teams are going to try and play with a little more discipline after that officiating fiesta the other night, but the way the refs are calling it, I dont know if that will make a difference.

Without a doubt. Hopefully by round two they'll put the whistles back in the pocket.

Then again, with our PK as awesome as it is, and the PP clicking, who knows, maybe all of this special teams action won't be so bad. Though I know we'll be able to lick Calgary 5 on 5 as well, since they play our style of fast, open hockey.

^ cept they don't have the depth factor that our forwards hold, but in terms of grungyness and hardworking. Their a very formidable foe.

but ya special teams will always be important. Look at the ottawa vs toronto game.

Plus fighting is only acceptable in the playoff's if the score is either tied, or the score doesn't matter anymore like 5-0.

The refs are being more strict about things because of the fucking bertuzzi thing, which in my opinion is dead and burried. When the players are all pumped and hyped... They get lost in the game, its not like they make a choice at the beginning of the game... "I'm gonna fight number 43 in the second period with 4 minutes left..." It just happens sometimes no matter what the score is.

the refs are always strict at the starting of the playoffs. they will calm down a bit after their msg is sent out. during playoffs we should be disciplined anyways. we gave up 10 power plays but not all of them were stupid. atleast half (5) was still reasonable and 5 is already way too much to give up regular season or playoffs
