But it's sort of old.



And this one was a request for someone. The original lines were small, so excuse the messy/thickness. The design came straight from the top of my head. The big stars were kid of pixely, and I was too lazy to fix them, so I just blurred it.

If you take a good look, not all of it is Japanese animation. It could be based on a character from japanese animation, but done in a whole different style. eg, REALISM.
And Japanese animation is not lame. Things like Pokemon are. But they don't count as Japanese Animation. Anything that is dubbed into Englsih and played on YTV/Teletoon does'nt count as anime to me. And I have done things that havent been done over and over again, so shut up about things you don't know about.

some anime drawings are pimp..but i like to stick to originality... draw something thats you...not a human and add stuff to it... soemthing abstract... maybe words perhaps? make it you... not an extension of you on a "human"

who's to say what's original and what's not, and since when does your defintion of originality apply to Gaara's? What makes you think that she ISN'T doing what she feels is "her"? Quite possibly, what you've suggested Gaara to draw is looked down upon as UNORIGINAL in some other artsy subculture... The definiton of "originality" is subjective because people say that something is original and unoriginal dependent upon what they've been exposed to by mainstream media/art.

We all start off our childhood art by copying. This is how we learn about style and technique. We've all been imitators at one point in our life and only from learning the basics can we develop a style of our own. I respect anyone who has the patience to learn all the basics that are required in reaching what they perceive as their full potential... I look down on plagiarism or using someone else's piece without credit, but isn't the idea of looking at someone's drawing and deeming it "unoriginal" an unoriginal concept in itself?.. You're accepting what YOU see in mainstream art/media and being a passive observer by categorizing what is cliche and not cliche. In my opinion, that level of simple analysis is passive unoriginal, and narrow-minded.

You're telling someone else HOW to be original. how is it original for her to passively accept someone else's ideals of creativity?
abstract is NOT equivalent to originality.

Anyways, My copying days were probably in grade 2, and younger. All my drawings are sketched, drawn, and coloured by me, by my OWN hands, out of my OWN head, therefore making it original. It's freehanded. I copy nothing. Sure, anime is similar with the largeness of eyes/facial structure, but nothing else. Being able to draw a body is up to your own talent. And you want abstract? Pay close attention to my pictures. THE BACKGROUNDS.... ARE WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME TO DO. They are abstract enough. Personally I think that, without anything on it, is too boring. And yeah, you were proven wrong, no matter what you think. I'd like to see you create something, "original". Why don't you go to some random anime forum and count how many people in the fan arts section trace pictures? Let me tell you that NO one does it freehand. So why don't you go over there and see some REAL unoriginality. I said it before, and I'll say it again-- Shut up about things you don't know about.

I have been into graffiti for 3 years now, and all I get is people harasing me saying I stole shit of other people, and saying I suck and bs like that...I think some people just get jeulos and wish they had talent....just keep doing what you luv to do and dont let others get in your way, I luv any thing artistic and you have really good work....KEEP IT UP
