Young ppl
I was helping with a Basketball tournament a couple weeks ago that involved girls and guys in grade 5 and 6. I was standing at the door and a group of girls walked in all of them in grade 6 and one was looking through her purse and said do u know where i put my smokes??? i was sooo suprised!! i went to see MeanGirls this weekend and alll around me were 11 12 year old girls! they were dressed like they were 20 with gallons of makeup on talking about whut he said about her and how messed up they wanted to get that night. i just think that people are trying things to young. My stepmum told me about these "prostitute circles' going around in the middle schools! basically the guys pay them like a toonie to do them a 'special deed' and these kids are only in like grade 7 and 8!

people are trying things way too young and it is disturbing. i realize that it is part of growing up and everyone likes to experiment a little but some people take it too far. i hate to think that my little sister could be involved in any sketchy activity but it is a possibility and it scares me. it seems that a lot of younger people don't think of consequences and how their actions may affect them later in life. most of the time regret is felt somewhere along the way.

whatever happened to those bright coloured sweatshirts/pants with the bigass teddybears and cartoon characters on the front? That's what i wore when i was a youngin'...now kids are wearing lowrider jeans and tons of makeup. It all comes down to the parents in my opinion though...they gotta keep a closer eye on there kids...

^yea, & I feel bad for their dads, if they even have them...Notice how messed up young teens on like talk shows, never have a father figure around, hmmm...boo, times are changing, thats really too sad :(

I'm already dreading the day that I become old... I'm not wanting this new and upcoming Generation to take care of me. lol I'm going to invest in a Cast Iron Cane as Self Defense! :D

It seems like teens and pre-teens are growing up too fast. Maybe it has always been like that and I didn't notice, but I'm pretty sure kids are growing up faster than when I was that age. I have a younger sister who is 15 and some of her friends don't think that a bj is sex...so its ok to do it. WTF?? Thats why kids need to grow up before having sex. Kids need to learn the dangers of sex, smoking, etc. The more they know, the better off they will be. I could rant on, but I'm not going to. :(

It makes me sick how heavily conditioned these kids are. Most of them can barely seem to think for themselves. But then I've masturbated to pictures of Hilary Duff so what do I know.

^exactly, i was having a similar conversation with lawrence (.forwerd) and mateo on friday
the reason kids are starting things younger these days is because they are exposed to it at a younger age, i mean when we were young there were no britney's, christina's, and jessica simpsons they see and hear things constantly that impact them, like 90% of commercials are all using sex as a marketing scheme. yeah sexual marketing has always been around, but not to the extent that it is today. kids are so reliant on fads and trends now that they will literally do anything to fit in, and so many things have already "been done", that new extremes are sought after all the time. and its only going to get worse, think of the generation/s to come after these. its a snowball effect thats going to change everything, from fashion to the way people think thus is why i strongly believe i will see pot legalized in canada before i hit 50. anyways back to the point. kids need to seek real role models, not these shallow scantily clad celebs they see on tv.

so let me clarify madonna - all eyes were on here, singled out and if you didnt like her music she wasnt an influence. where as the singers i mentioned are everywhere, pepsi ads, movies, etc. trends - we pushed the limits of our boundaries at the time, wearing clothes backwards, grafitti, having a cigarette, sneeking out till late hours........all of which have now "been done" to which they are now pushing their limits at a younger age the whole pot thing was just something i added in for effect, but what i meant was that pot is everywhere now, eventually someone will come into power that does not view pot as such a bad thing role models - parents are a prime example, thanks Last edited by omega_image; May 04, 04 at 03:20 AM.
