First off, let me clarify: This competition is NOT fixed! Basically, all I did was tally up the votes/nominations from the original post. I cut off the nominating process on the 8th. I did indicate on that post that in order for people to really get a listen to your style of music, and prompt more votes, your demo was to be in on JUNE 10th. This was technically not meant to be a popularity contest... but to give the opportunity to any aspiring DJ a spot to play at Apex 2004 nominated by the members.

We have run this contest over the last two years, and the outcome was quite positive in the past. It was primarily to benefit aspiring DJs... not to start an all out war.

If there was some confusion in the directions of the original post, I encourage you to PM me with your concerns directly, rather than attack each other in this thread.

Hope this clarifies all questions to come.

personally, i dont care who plays. vlado may or may not be in serbia, so pp is probably the best choice.

however i heard he plays acid trance? thats terrible terrible stuff. but who am i to judge. i like that awful hard techno and dark trance.

as for those who dodnt think hes the best, that title is of course always up for grabs. however, remember, he hasnt given in and started to play prog or deep house like so many djs before him.

(re: comment about people never playing for apex, etc.). Again... this contest is voted by the members. Plain and simple.

personally i think your an idiot. Marty has been dj'ing for years and could mix circles around you and your little trance army. But he's never been the kind of guy to suck cock for gigs or play out that much. He plays for the sake of playing, not be some uber-rockstar tiesto wannabe.

I must apologize that due to some unkown issues my ftp service has been down and I am trying to get it up in order to host the demos.

If this cannot be done soon then there will be an alternate hosting solution.

Thanks so much for your comments! Much appriceated. I'm glad you liked the set and the comparison to Kevin Shiu (he's someone I kind of look up to)!

I usually warm up for trance djs or djs that play harder prog. It's awsome music for setting a good tone for the night, setting a good vibe and luring people onto the dancefloor! :D

To be honest I have no idea why I am in the 'trance' voting section since it is more house than anything. I kind of expected people to reply with "Its too slow". :p OH well!

As you say this is turning intoa bit of a popularity contest but I guess that is expected on a message forum. I'm sure whoever wins will rock it regardless! :D

I hope to see some more reviews of my set!
