saying ceramic is better than any other high end straightener is the biggest hair myth ever.
ive got non white girl afro curls and i recommend the futura. i also get my hair done whenever i want it straight. a few times a week. but for me its worth it. |

ya it is worth it...i just used my friends the other day to fix some wavy parts and it was so much softer and sleeker than just a flat iron makes it.
also another question. Has anyone tried japanese hair straightening? is it worth the extra money compaired to other chemical straightening procedures? it would be about $300 for my hair, but it says it's permanent until the new hair grows out. |

best way to buy one is off Ebay
seriously as far as price, well you get what you pay for. I'd rather spend $150-200 on something I know is good quality and not super damaging then buy a cheap ass one that'll fry your hair. Dont even get me started on using a clothes iron on your hair. It's not _meant_ for hair! Didn't they do that in the 60's or something? |

I got one of those ceramic hair straightener irons for around $60 at the Aura salon in Metrotown. It works really good...so if your hair's already pretty straight or lightly wavy I suggest just getting that one since it doesn't cost a fortune and it works well.
