Alternate DSL connection companies.

Anyone know of any other DSL available internet providers other than Telus here in the Lower Mainland??
I'm sick of the monopoly they have on it here...

there are a shit load of chinese companies that offer dsl
they are the exact same as telus because they take lines from. prices vary
and at the moment i dont remenber the names of these places off the top of my head but there are alot of options out there

the only thing any of those companies can do for you.. is send a trouble ticket.

and uniserve sucks my ass (my brother and myself were the only dsl techs there years ago)

Tech Question Mr. DSL Tech man... I have the Internal Modem from e-Slut still... if I want to sign up on one of these alternate ISPs can I use it with them? What settings would I have to change? I'm starting to GO FUCKING CRAZY with having Dial-up still.

remove your modem

get an ethernet card and then buy a modem

make sure you've removed tcp/ip and the dial up adapter from the connections folder in control panel

Fawk that... I'ma keep my internal ADSL Modem... lol Too expensive to buy another one for $200 or so. I'm not sharing it at all so the internal one works fine... less latency as it goes right into the Bus without having to go through a NIC first.
