Well today I found out my Buddy is parting out his 2.2L Turbo LeBaron. I've got first call on Parts so I'm getting the Turbocharger for like $40! I'll be slapping that onto my V8 for a Blowthru Turbo setup.... mmmmm 35% more Horsepower. Now I just have to peruse eBay for some better Cylinder Heads and I'll be set. :D 370HP is just a stones throw away!

If I were you i would grab a turbo off of a late 80's Tbird ...... anything chrysler/dodge is bound to be shit. Especially if it is off of a Le baron. I hate the Le baron without even looking at it.......and then you see it and you wonder if chrysler lost a bet.

My buddys fiance just bought a pristine lebaron gts convertible *barf* .

It was a fast little Car... I drove it a couple times. The IHI Turbos on T-Birds have odd openings on them so doing the Junkyard Turbo with them is harder to fab. I think this one has a more Circular ports so mounting it on my Header should be fairly easy. Besides, when this is done, I'll make my Car look purty then save up for a 351 Cleveland and a 393 Stroker Kit for it.

thasts a pretty old turbo..it might be in need of a rebuilt pretty soon.

scarface im pretty sure that the turbos in those cars were manufactured by mitsubishi....they make pretty good turbos.

Yeah , mitsubishi and dodge shared platforms for a while.....but if you take a look at al of the eagle talons/laers/eclipse from that era , you'll see that they are all going to need a new turbo at 150,000-200,000 km. Which is oe of the main reasons i didnt get a talon.
