SkyTrain Seating?

I was thinking about this last night on my way Downtown. How many of you have a preference of seat on the SkyTrain, should you actually get one? I personally like the single seats by the Windows in the old Trains. That way I can keep an eye on the whole Train through the reflections on the glass and with peripheral vision. Do you have a favorite place to sit and why?

I usually like to score those single seats near the back of the cars ( the ones that face inwards )
Or if I have to stand I like to lean up agaist the glass on the opposite to the opening doors ( well except edmonds and nanimo stn )

I like those spots cause there is not much traffic around them. The seats are nice cause you have alot of leg room.

I'm in the same boat as you, except I hate the old trains because they're not air conditioned and the seats are usually gross and sticky.

In the new trains, I prefer the single seats by the doors.

I haven't really developed a preference in the New Ones yet... although when I'm drunk heading home from Downtown, I like standing in the accordion section. It's like Welfare Playland!

The new trains, either in the very front or very back. Kinda makes it look like you're on a roller coaster!

werd. the new trains kick ass for the a/c... i was dying this morning, riding one of the old trains to work... who knew it would be that hot at 7am this morning?

on the new trains i chill on the single seats, preferably the one thats farthest from the door, that way i can lean my head back and sleep on the way to work if i have to.

It doesn't matter if I'm on the bus or skytrain or whatever: All I want is a seat by the window!

ps - Erik, your post makes you sound really, really paranoid.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but it seems that every time I have to sit next to someone on the skytrain they are really really stinky. So if I see one of those single seats empty, god help whoever tries to take it before I do.

If I get on at King George (starting station) its a free-for-all for the good seats. I usually snag one of the single ones by the window and close to the door.
But if I get on at Scott Road, I stand leaning against the glass opposite of the opening door.

New trains never seem to come by when I'm riding :(

I don't really care. As long as I can fit in the subway car, I'm happy.

On the old ones I like the very end of the bench seats (so I can lean my head against the glass and sleep), and on the new ones I like the single seats that are at the very front and very back that face inwards for the same reason.
