The construction aspect of the casino has hit a couple of stumbling blocks in the4 renovation phase and it has set their launch date back a couple of months. The new date of opening is end of Oct. Being that they have to maintain their original renovation plans as per the permits they've had to come up with some creative ways around a few obsticles. The venue was not sold and at no point in time was the raves or amount of raves held there taken into consideration as a posative for changing the building. The Vancouver City Planning departments have come along way in the understanding about the rave scene and many of them actually support the scene as long as the Raves are put on safely. Hence why they get so pissed when there's illegal raves. Kind of understandable as they feel that these events are trying to put one over on them.

Surpossedly the casino guys are planning on using the theater to show local bc makers films. Wheather this is for publicity sake or not i have no idea.
