first place i walk into i get a job.... go figure eh?....after i go thru all the trouble of printing off like 50 resumes... hehe... van is like desperate for people to work or something.... i got other calls from people wanting interviews as well... u would never get anything like that in vic... people here stay at their jobs forever.. so its impossible to get a job...

anyways... your looking at the newest "cactus girl!"...... come visit me on brodway & ash! :)

nice1... my friend sam, used to be a server at the catus club on robson. she was drop dead hot and because of that came home with an average of $250 in tips everynight, plus it's was really busy!

Nice work on landing the job babes, I have no doubt in my mind you will do well there. Having gotten a few people jobs at some Cactus Clubs and knowing the managers I do there, here are a few things to note: 1.) show up on time... they have zero tollerance for this type of thing and every time you are late, it goes on your perminent record there. So that means if you ever have them down as a reference, if someone asks about your attendance, they will note how many times you were late, etc... 2.) work hard... I know it's CactASS club but you are definitely a hard worker who is intelligent (unlike some CactASS hostesses/waitresses I've met). Given your age, intelligence, etc., it will not surprise me that you would move up quickly to a server.

they hired me some time ago so that can't be completely true... of course they did hide me in the back... i'm gonna go cry now.

You should make lots of $$ there Veni, but just remember to be nice to the dishwashers - they're people too! Remember to always sort your cutlery and scrape off your plates and they will love you for it i promise. :)

^^ ya the last resturant i worked at everyone loved me cause i always scraped off the plates and sorted stuff and always helped other people with their work... they kicthen guys always asked the other servers why they couldnt be nice like me... lol...

thanks everyone! im sooo excited to get started.. they gave me like 5 booklets i have to go thru and then fill out work books for each of them... then i have like quizes as well... i have a week of orientation next week(starting tuesday..ill be in van monday night-adam)... then i think theyll get me started the week after.... theyre starting me out hostessing.. cause they do that to everyone.. but they said i would probably move up fast cause ive allready served b4....
i know they hire alot of good looking people... but from talking to the manager.. im pretty sure its not all just based on looks.. they want a certain type of person.. someone with good people skills...(which i have)..outgoing..professional.. ect etc,... not just any good lookin person that walks in there. :P but yea... it is a little of an ego boost... everyone come visit for sure!

Creepy, you work right by my house. I have a few friends who worked at that cactus club and hated it, but they were guys. Girls seem to do better in the service industry.
