ear pointing.....

I decided on my 20th birthday (one ear from the 31st) i'm going to NY to get my ears pointed.... its been 5 years sense i discovered this... and i've wanted it... ever sense. I want seve hawthorn to do it.thus the trip to NY...

has anyone seen it done? or known anyone who has done it?



"Ear pointing is a procedure by which "vulcan" or "elf"-life ears are created. A small wedge of tissue is removed at the tip of the ear, and the two edges are then sutured together. Assuming uneventful healing, the resultant ear will have a far more pronounced tip.

It is important to note that this procedure removes tissue, and does not add any. There is no extension to the length or height of the ear — if that's what you're looking for you've still got a few years to wait at least.

This is a pseudosurgical procedure and is only being offered by a small handful of practitioners such as Steve Haworth (who is generally considered to have invented it), Lukas Zpira, and Emilio Gonzalez."

and honestly.. don't let anyone touch it other the steve hawthorne

he invented it.. there are a few others who do it.. but they NEVER turn out as good as him... and he works out of NY
its pretty expensive... i have yet to figured out that part... i'm more worried about getting there. then the actual cost.

And people have lost the tops of ears from trying to do this.... its not safe, and it hurts like hell.

its not ment to be done... but your body eventualy adapts.

Why get it done only for it to catch on as a fad?
The healing process looks like a complete BITCH. Plus, I highly doubt it would heal leaving no mark what so ever. Sure it would look nifty if there was no scar tissue visible, but with a chunk of that size taken out... Ick.

Just not my cup of tea.

If you don't think its meant to be done, the leave it be. Don't mutilate yourself for something that may turn out badly if you don't believe its safe and what not.

Yep, everyone will have them.. doesn't matter. its not like you can escape normality. everything eventualy comes into fad.

Right now, I know only a handfull has them.. and its something i've always wanted.
Doesn't mean others cant have it.. because it may mean something important to them.

you cant escape normality... so why not enjoy it. as long as your doing it for you.. and no one else
