dave I think a stable job was one of the only few cornerstones in keeping your reality together.

You really don't know what was going on. Shit, I had to wake up stupidly early for a crapy 4hour shift. I'd get home not able to sleep not able to be awake. I would end up with $30 a day, minus $8 for bus fare. By the of each day I was so burnt out my brain could not shut off, so I lay in bed till the next morning. I was swallowing handfull of pills to fall a sleep, drinking G, trying any thing to even sleep. Then it all ended up in stress that was keeping me awake on week ends. I was so fucked up I could not work fast enough, or train fast enough for the boss, so I tried keeping it going with speed, caffine, and what ever I could to push my self. That lead to less sleep cause I was twichy. So I stopped all that, and my brain crapped out. I got slow at work, boss freaked out more and more. More stress I had, slower I got, even less sleep.

Oh yea,,, nothing like lossing a small $150 gig to go in to a job that paid what worked out to $20-$25 a day. Lets not for get lossing full gig, that at times could pay up to $300. ($150 PA, $50 Lights, $100 visuals) Yea I know that looks greedy for the promoters who are losing money. But I'm still paying off my gear that I have loans for. So even if I'm not doing gigs, I'm still paying out of my ass for my gear.

Meh, so I just fucked my self for year, and have NOTHING to show for it. I'd rather work for promoters that rip me off, because at lest the kids got some thing out of it... rather then some fat cat getting 80k a year.

You know the person that owes me money, is about the same amount the job paid a month... meh, you could see why I'm so pissed off. I've kept it out of public site for so long. I've talked to him on the phone so often, I've bugged him as much as I could to settle up by civil means.

In an industry that it takes money to make money, and then %90 of what turns the profit (or break even) is puplic image... I have to get my money some how so I can make money. Now my only tool is this public image and to so called attact his publicly... heck his only deffence to my request for him to pay was a bad attact on my image himself. He did not argue with facts or logic, he tried to build a case because I spelt some thing wrong.

meh! on the topic of spelling, my spell checker is being a bitch... oh well.

Ps kids,,, I kinda let the freebie joke go on... just so you know, I'm talking about freebies with sound/light/or visuals...

Just tell me what your show is about and why I should help you with the it.

I have gear for an event with about 100 to 150 people. For visuals my time is free, normaly $100-$150 perstage, but I have to charge for the progector because the running cost on them is so high.($50 for 500lume, $100for 1200lume)
