Where to purchase?

A new couch.

Something that isn't leather , and isn't swedish (i hate the swedes). Where is a good place to find decent furniture at a reasonale price?

I need a desk too, my computer is on the floor right now. Seriously.

Perhaps Mobler.....its not swedish...its danish I think

there stuff is not bad. way better quallity then Ikea.

inspiration home furnishings...w4th just east of the granville bridge

and there's this one place on burrard just past 4th and it's got really nice stuff, a little pricey though.

Not looking for fancy, i have a cat. Fancy ends up looking trashy (see current leather love seat and chair )

Get a Natuzzi at Sears (Furniture Stores not the regular Sears) or better yet - Sandy's, more styles there (several locations each).

www.natuzzi.com - Italian design, real leather on all parts, no vinyl. They have a wide range of styles and prices so don't get turned off if you happen to first see the ultra-expensive models.

I bought a Canadian made leather sofa, Distinctive Designs division of Kroehler - no good - they said it is all leather, it was not, crappy vinyl on the back and sides. Removable cushions at first seemed like a good idea but they slid all over the place. And the sofa and love seat were not the same firmness. It was crap, I took it back.

Actually I came to the conclusion that leather sofas were too big for my place and don't suit my friends who mostly slouch semi-horizontal so I just got some Ikea lounge armchairs which suit me better, although no way do they look as nice as Italian leather.
