i've been around for a while (since 98) and the jaded and grumpy part is due to the comedown of the drugs. i've realized that i can actually say no to drugs and have a blast at parties...(sober and clean off of E for 3 yrs and counting, other drugs = questionable)...just take a weekoff of life and you'll laugh at what you were bitchin about...

I think the old ravers are just bitter, cause due to the high turnover rate of raver kidz, the people they used to party with dont party n e more. They feel like they are behind or less mature or something because they are still in the scene. Also, a contributing factor is mos def the fact that doing drugs makes u get tired much faster, and makes u need to take a break from partying sooner. People who party sober some of the time last out alot longer than those who takes drugs everytime. You can still have fun even if you aren't high, u kno? They are also bitter because the scene has changed since they began... Electronic music is like the fastest evolving genre around, and with that, comes the evolution of the scene... it will never be what it was, it will never stay how it is now, and who knows what it will become in the future...

Rave like its the year 3000! Haha.. just imagine what the raverz will be like then!

why does it matter if people are jaded? If they are, then so what? GET OVER IT! It's a big party go make friends with some happy candy ravers then.

It basically boils down to who will stay in the scene. Alot of people go for maybe a year then get out of it. And in the end it's those people who really love it who will stay partying for years. They, then just aren't a part of the scene; they make the scene. Production companies, dj's, people who are there to support they're friends in the companies. And then you get these newbies who come to a few parties start thinking that they can just beak off about anything. "Boo hoo that party sucked.. it got shut down.. i want my money back! I'm never coming to one of your parties again!"
It's a sad sad story... but you know what? the people who threw the party probably lost more then you and they are trying their best to show you a good time. It's not their fault that the cops are assholes. If you think you can do better go ahead and try. It's stupid shit like that that make jaded ravers so jaded. Just plain disgusted at the ungrateful-hooched out-completely bombed out and fighting anyone they can- new generation.
there isn't a rule that says hate all new ravers. but it's down to who you are. not every one in life is gonna be nice to you. Do YOU like everyone you meet?

It does have a point, and if you rea dit over a few times maybe you would understand the difference between the jaded ravers she's talking about and the kids who may seem bitter but stay in the scene anyways. The ones who help the scene.

I don't think the half of you really know wut a "jaded raver" is.

Cause the majority of ravers only last for about a 6 month period, and by the end of the 3rd month they think they know everything but really.. they dont. Tho they think that's enough to be jaded... cause it's the 'cool' thing to do? BULLSHIT.

I'Ve been told I'm a bitter ol jaded raver... and I know I am.. but it's not cuase of the music[I still enjoy it], drugs[L7 wut!(I party sober)], scene[parties are still good] it's because of the ppl[they're just stupid].
