In fact, Doom is pretty much just thankful that he is so bloody awesome... wait, he -isn't- thankful. It can be no other way. Doom's intrinsic quality is awesomeness, and he has no need to offer thanks for it. To offer thanks for such a quality implies that it is something frail and tangible, which it is obviously not.
