ya i did it in europe and even brought some home.. u dont see shit.. it just gets u hammed sooo fast.. cuz its either 80% or 70%.. u can get it in spain for soooooooooo cheap at like the local grociery store.. the shit that makes u see stuff was banned a while ago.. but i know that you can still get it in under ground shady places.. but seriously.. its just a bunch of chemicals.. might as well just do shrooms if u wanna halusinate

I brought back about three liters of high thujone content stuff from the Czech republic this summer. They sell Hills there and its pretty much the same as any other standard absinthe as far as thujone goes... I think its 10mg/kg, I brought back what is called a bitter, which has 35mg/Kg and doesn't have any of that false colouration to it. Its a tea green colour and is as bitter as hell, you can not drink it without sugar. I paid about 10 - 12 dollars for a 26er and about 25 - 30 for a liter of the stuff.

I did shots of it once... it tastes like Minty Mouthwash but with the Alcohol Content to take down a Yak. I did three shots in a row. Slowly felt the warmth spread throughout me. Wow... talk about insta-buzz. You can't get the stuff that makes you see the Green Fairies here in Canada.

^I can't stand 151! Ab is very intense, but it didn't give the gag effect, haha. Plus, I am the cheapest drunk ever! & for the amount I had drank I was surprisingly alright :)

I drank some absinth on my 18th birthday just this past summer, I agree with ~*FaeryFly*~ it's a whole different kind of drunk, it's sort of surreal but I didn't hallucinate.
The best way to drink it is to melt the sugar cube and pour it into the absinth and then slip it slowly and take sips of water in between. You're not supposed to drink it like a shooter.. and plus it gets overwhelming that way. I find it to be a lot more tolerable than 151, I used to be really into drinking 151 but now it just makes me gag, my body can't take it anymore. Banana 151 is alright though because the banana flavour is distracting and it makes it easier to drink. My friend broke the record at Dv8 for the most absinth drank at one time, she drank three double shots as shooters and had other drinks on top of that, the staff congratulated her it was pretty funny.

this is how you are supposed to drink it....
1 martini glass, 1 spoon with sugar in it, pour absinthe over spoon while pouring the shot into the martini glass, so the suger is soaking in it. LIGHT SPOON ON FIRE, until sugar melts/is bubbling. stir the sugar into the martini glass, this will ignite the rest of the absinthe, put out the flame with a splash of cold water, DRINK!
