yah i really dont understand why people care if other people choose to use glowsticks...isnt the atmosphere of a rave supposed to be that everyone can do what they feel freely? i used glowsticks when i first started raving.. now not soo much cuz im more into dancing, they just tend to get in the way.. but i still have nothing against glow sticks or glowstickers why whould i? who cares if u think they look stupid.. they oviously dont!!! my brother who is my best friend was dancing at a party with glowsticks not to long ago and some fukin tool comes up to him, grabs his glowsticks and throws them on the ground...like comon wut the fuck is with that? we were not in his way wut so ever and that guy felt that it was nessisary to do that to him?? how rude seriously...its people like that who we should be making post about on here talkin about how fucking pathetic they are...i think thats more important then people who like to use glowsticks...if your a bitter old raver why affect someone elses night by being hateful and demeaning towards them, you were probly once were they are now, give em a break there just having fun

I've only been raving for a little over a year now and I enjoy using glowsticks.............. it's not cause thats what I think should be at a rave but what I enjoy when I rave......... the only time I won't use them is if all mine are dead or I have choosen to use white gloves instead............personnally I don't see what the big deal is about ravers using them.........why should you care what others use to flail and dance with?..........all it is is them doing what they enjoy...........and if you don't like them than either refuse a light show if offered one or just stay away from them if it really bothers you that much.............I mean really......what ever happened to P.L.U.R.?........ravers should respect the choices other ravers make to enjoy themselves whether they are noobs or experienced

God, man, everybody gets so up in arms about glow sticks, it's like the ravor trend that the REAL ravors claim they want to die, but they keep it going, and anybody who attends raves who claims to just be "checkin' it out" is repulsed by them the the kid covered in candy and colors is strickin' with leprosy.

Personally, I really couldn't give two antique rat shits whether or not you bring in glow sticks so long as you don't take somebody's eye out while flailing or run around asking everybody if they want light shows, when really you're so high you don't have the depth perseption to diferentiate between the back of your hand and the face of the person your bludgeoning. Go ahead, dance away I'd far rather a mass of ravers showed up with glow sticks than something horrible like whistles.

I think glowsticks are fine, kinda cool sittin down at Dooms Night in the stands, and seeing a LOT of people with glowsticks, it looked funky. I dont mind them much at all since you can use them for several reasons as already stated.

I think most people just find them annonying because they are usually associated with noobie ravers, who wander around on E all the time waving them in peoples faces and whatnot, and that tends to piss me off too. I dont see the point in light shows anyways since they really dont do anything for me even on the drugs that ive done.

So my 2 cents is use glowsticks if you like them, but when your high and other people arent, dont just run up to them and start waving them in peoples faces or asking random people if they want light shows. Just keep em to yourself.

i never said that the people that used glowsticks did more drugs. i said that (most) people new to raves usually did more drugs than people who have been raving for years.

actually I quite agree with that - which is one of the reasons I made this post. I was at a party in the summer and some guy actually thought it was upon himself to take me off the dancefloor, ask how long I was raving for, and said that in about 4 months he had hoped I would not have them - and yes Ive seen random people walk up to random people and throw the glowsticks away - that is the thing that pees me off. as the other person said in this thread, where is the PLUR.
And as for the '5 years ago' .... perhaps it may be, but meh, christmas was 100 years ago but I still put up the tree yearly - point is, I seriously dont see the point of getting all worked up over what others do, especially if it effects you about as much as a slug does crossing a dirt path in the middle of the forest with no human civilization arond for miles :|.
