Okay, way back when, before the name "Rave" was really that popularized (IE when it was only in England), there were certain personalities that seemed to port over Raves to their home country or whatever. In Canada it was Chris Sheppard. In the States, it was Frankie Bones.

Way back when Frankie Bones coined a term trying to describe the phenomenon that was spreading all over the place now: A Peace Love and Unity Movement. Later it became Peace Love Unity Respect, and it became a kinda raver credo/password. But when the "straights" caught on "PLUR" was quickly replaced with "Fuck PLUR".

And, of course, the subculture continues to self-perpetuate the memes, so PLUR and Fuck PLUR are both kicking around as present as ever.

But really, if anybody tells you it's anything other than a word, they missed the joke.

plur... come on now. what a load of wank. the rave culture has bled out, it sucks now. i used to have fun but who wants to go to a party with little kids running around everywhere?!?!? its retarded. everyones on meth... people steal your shit its fucked up. i didnt start partying until i was 18 so i can say that some kid on jib that wont shut up about how high they are and how much they love it kinda pisses me off. club nights are better anyway so i think i'll stick to that.
