ok, we'll put it this way. I played hockey my entire life, I first learned how to skate when I was two years old. I used to attend okanagan hockey school where I won the bauer athletic excellence award and was asked to return as a counselor and participate in the program of elite. I used to train in long island with an ex-skating instructor for riga dynamo of russia, while training in new york I had the pleasure of sharing the ice with the likes of darius kasparitus, chris pronger and valerei bure. I think I might know a thing or two about hockey.

oh and some people never grow out of newbie status... and he's definately one of those (so called) people...

I've done my share for throwing parties, I didn't feel the necessity for flyer whore and sell tickets for the conglomerates just so I could get into a party. It all just sort of happened instead. Son I through parties back when your mom was selling pickled herring and giving the kgb rounds just to get out of that shit hole of a country.

really does it matter if theres no more NHL? just means there will be less overpaid athletes in the world.. I also think its funny that a lot of the hardcore hockey fans out there are now obsessed over football, everywhere i look i see people that were once big into hockey talking about the lions and football. If the NHL were going on and the Canucks were still playing, nobody would give two shits about the lions or football again. Its like you're all sheep and you're just following whatever pro sport thats thrown at you. what will happen if football is somehow cancelled as well?? you might have to get off you're ass and turn off the tv, and maybe actually play some sports yourself!

but its not the same, yes its entertaining. Yes some of those players will make the big leagues and be pro's, but in terms of raw goaltending, skills and other things such as skating. Its not the same. The players in the NHL are faster, bigger and have better goaltending.

Its j ust hards to see in games that are between two boring teams that play the grab the player and hold on type of hockey game.

so to top it off, all you goofs that say you love hockey, go SPLURGE on a 20 ticket for a giants game. last giants game i went to, 5 fights 9 goals, giants win. that my friends is better than just about any nhl game i've attended in the last 3-4 years. (for reference: i've attended dozens of nhl games)

oh yea, so the giants are on a 5 game skid. big whoop, before that they were on a tear. it's junior, roadtrips on buses takes a lot out of a team.
