Where did you get your Birth name From?

Im Just curious where the thought of your called name comes from.
Wether your parents were addicted to a t.v. series show at the time you popped out, for your mom was crazy about a certain celebrity...hell maybe you were named after an alcohol like my little Brother.
It doesnt have to be direct.
and i am sure you have asked your parents, "why did you name me _____?" so lets here your name story.

My Parents chose is as it was something different that didn't rhyme with anything. It's also related to my heritage as I'm part Norweigan, Erik the Red, get it? That and I look good with a Horned Helmet and a Battle Axe in my Hand. :)

It was the name of one of my mom's cousins, and my dad liked it. Thank god because I would have HATED to be named after my grandma (bessie) although I know they wouldn't have done that to me...they themselves don't understand why her parents called her that (and no. it wasn't short for Elizabeth).

It's normally spelled Mira, but it is spelled with a Y because my mum wanted mine and my brother's names to match (his name is Dylan, he's named after the writer Dylan Thomas)

My actual full name (first name, middle names) is almost identical to my mother's, grandmother's and great grandmother's (Scottish people aren't very creative! haha)

My dad and mom agreed on Angus, but for different reasons.

My mom liked Angus, because it was the name of a great-great grandfather of mine.

My dad liked Angus, because he knew a fair ammount of Angus's in his life, and they all had similar, likable traits, which seems to have trickled down to me quite well, so says my father.

I love my name.

My first name(varney) is a really old welsh name and my aunts name too.
my first middle name is Rae- because my mom though that "Ray" on that old show 'Dallas' looked like my dad, so they changed to y to an e for a girl- and then changed my name to Varneyrae.
and then Ruth after my grandma.

well my parents wanted to call my krystal...but there were too many being born at the hospital at the same time and they decided they didnt like it afterwards...good thing...cause no offense to any krystals...its just not for me


so they named me krista and then my middle name is lynn..


and apparently (and i think it has to spelled a little different)...kristalynn means waterfall or something like that in another language...and they both love waterfalls

my great grandma's name was Molka, so they wanted to pick a name that also starts with M and the picked Marina. Really cool name, ti means "from the sea". Also, my Mom says she found me in a cabage :-/

my ex uncle named me.. he was british, so thats how i got "beverley" instead of the american "beverly"... and my sis is kimberley. exciting eh. but now they're divorced..so i think i have the right to change my name. but then again... i kinda like my name. i wanna go huntdown my namer.. i wonder where he is. =(
