Alright so I'm on the Skytrain... listening to my mp3 player, I'm very anti-social when I'm taking public transportation. I also happen to be carring around my records in a vibrant green flight case.

So these 3 girls (obvious jailbait... which I don't like talking to), come up to me and start asking about it. Asking what's in it. I told them records, but they didn't believe me. They wanted to hold it, and pet it.... STUPID KIDS!!!


Anyway, then I get to Columbia to switch trains. Skytrain Security (the actual Police ones) stops me ans starts questioning me about the box. Asking where it came from and if its mine... and then they actualy asked me if I was transporting biohazerdous or nuclear devices. To which I replied "Your kidding right. If I was transporting biohazerdous or nuclear devices. Don't you think I would have better means of transportation?". They let me go after that.

But Jesus, are people that excited by someone carrying a bright green flight case on the skytrain?

I prefer bright orange, myself.

I'm lucky tho - I took a drum machine bearing a "WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION" sticker through US customs. They searched my gear without me there, I'm just glad they had a sense of humour.

There's a reason you don't put "explosive" or "toxic" stickers on flightcases, regardless of how cool the stickers look.

sort of off topic, but
my friend Kaine went through customs to go to seattle to see MINISTRY there a few months ago.
they were giving them all a hard time. (they were a group of 12 goth kids in a large van.....think about it.....)
when they asked Kaine where he worked, when he said "the Fantasy Facotory" the guard asked what he did there, Kaines reply was simply "i sell porn to people like you"
that shut them up, and they let my friends go.
i wish i could have been there to see the look on the guards face.
