So something made you rave
i was just sitting around and thinking.
i am new in the rave scene, i enjoy it a lot, but i would never have discovered the community for just no reason out of no where. i got my story how i got into this scene, and well i would like to know how you guys discovered the art of rave lol. what made you want to get in too it. i'd like to hear you guys share who was your inspiration to get here and hear your first experience. so come on, share.

Ummmm, an ex-friend of mine always tried to get me to go to raves with him throughout highschool, but I never wanted to pay like 70 bucks or wahetevr(he always just went to like plaza parties and stuff) so one week this summer, about the time I was getting sick of clubbing, having gone throuhg a stretch of 3 months going to the clubs every day, he told me about Apex, and how it was only 10bucks, I jumped on the chance and convinced a few of my other friends to come check it out too... had soo much fun that night I jsut started looking for diff. parties every weekend.

It was back in grade nine. I was helping cleanup G-ROCK's (long before he was g-rock or soundaddvice) disaster of a house party from the night before. While everyone was trying to figure out how to get a whole beer spilled outta the carpet ("put salt on it, salt on it", haha ;)). I wandered off into his computer room and saw LoungeX.com logged on, I started to surf around and well.. the rest writes itself.
Maybe thats why I keep luggin time into this old webby, the insperation of new people to the community. If not for the LX community, I would never have found out nor wanted to attend a party. I wonder how many of the 5000+ FNK'ers have the same sorta story as me. ??

flyers... saw a bunch of them around, and became friends with a bunch of people that went to the damn things... after a while i decided to check it out... it was spring 01 when i end up going to my first one.

my bestfriend had always told me and paige abotu raves that she went to in calgary and shit.. and then i decided i wanted to goto one..
me and paige looked up a raver site.. and team hardcore showed up.. we then saw sum advert for insomnia 2003.. and decided we wanted to go.. unfortunatly.. it was too short of notice and we had no scrilla so... twisted 2003 it was... and so the story began... and here i am 2day.. o yes, paige came across fnk.. and told me about it and i came on and there ya go:)

hmm this was back in 99. The idea of raving was branching out a little bit towards otehr people. Apex came along and a lil group of my friends went. They came back told me it was a blast so then i decided to hit up Summer Love with them and wow what a first rave experiance. To anyone who is newer to the scene and never had a chance to experiance raves such as that, thats too bad. Nehoo started then and havn't stopped since.

When I used to work at Save-On-Foods (aka. RAVE-ON-DRUGS:hehe: ) some of the people working there went to them religously.
There wasn't really much to do at 12:30 at night usually so the raves where the next best thing ( except when you have to open the store on Sunday morning @ 7:30am!! ).

I dated this guy for a long time, and he USED to rave, and always talked about how raving in hawaii was so awesome, and really, he got me into the music, but he didnt ever go out while i knew him...
I started being like, whoa, this guyz off his gord (for other reasons) and wanted to go do my own shit for a while... so i started going out to parties, by myself. and it was fuckn tight. so i found a man who can party jus as hard as me, and now its FUCKIN SICK. we have lots of fun. :)

My friends started downloading the music. Then we bought a scotty oh cd. We would dance around in amanda and jens basement. It was so fun. We also went on teamhardcore a lot. We wanted to go to a rave so bad but had no way to get there. Finally we decided to invest in a taxi and went to riverside hall for nevernever land 6 or something like that. I loved it, but fell asleep at like 3 haha all the guards thought we were ODing, but we were just tired. Also everyone there was asking how old we were and when we said 15 they all said we were so young , I guess that used to be somewhat of a weird thing.
I didn't get to go again untill my friend and I decided we didn't know what to do on halloween and realized that we could rave so we went to spooky 7. and thats when my love/addiction began.:)

In grade 9 i met a girl named Halish.
she liked girls. she liked me. i was absolutly fascinated by here. She took me to my first 3 parties. that was my intro to parties. i met Myles in grade 9, by grade 11 i was on this niftly little ravers forum called fnk. so many people/experiences and stories from then to know, lots curtousy of raving.

I was at a dance back in 1994 and this guy came up to me and said: "Hey dude, I like the way you dance, why don't you come and check out a rave that me and some pals from Edmonton are throwing in a hall downtown. Just keep it on the down low if you come k?" I went and there was a jar on the table in front that said: donations welcome. We all pitched in 5 bucks or so and went in...It was awesome! Crazy vibe there and everyone was soooo nice...I've been doing it ever since...

Ever since grade 8 me and ashley had always wanted to go to a rave.We first heard about them from her hippie aunts who lived in combs. We always said that we would go to one but it never actually happen. Then one day we met good old Terryl.Terryl being the big e dealer and all introduced us to the e. I was hesitant and told myself i would never touch drugs. However ashley decided to take a leap of faith and do it one night. This was around the ending of Sep.and starting of oct. Ashley mentioned to terryl that she had been searching the rave victoria web site and found out about a rave in chilliwack called spooky 8. We casually asked terryl if he would take us thinking it would never happen, and the next day he showed up with tickets for all of us.All i can say is after that night, i was never the same again and yes i did end up doing e. Silly me.
