walmart's online book selling is done through.... AMAZON, I believe.

So. go to amazon, do a book search, copy the ISBN, put it in the walmart search, and bam, it looks like walmart is selling drug and anti-capitalist books.

i bet you wouldn't be able to buy any of those books in the actual store.

having online shopping makes it harder for the company to moniter exactly what they're selling, i think. they can't walk down the aisles and read the titles.

yeah, that's why i was saying that they probably don't have those books in the actual stores. which makes it less amusing, but it's still funny to see the wal-mart logo and a "WAL-MART IS DEATH TO ALL" book on the same internet page.

it would make a good newspaper article, i think. that corporations are so clueless and huge that they don't even know they're selling anti-corporation books.

but then again, it's all in the spirit of capitalism. if the book sells, then why not make a few bucks off of it; even if it is a hit against yourself. i bet many people who would read that book either don't go to Wal-Mart already, or wouldn't change their mind because of a book.

they're probably selling it inadvertantly. if electroflux's theory is right then the database of books they sell wouldnt even hosted on the walmart site. it would be almost impossible for them to block ISBN's of certain books they wouldnt want to sell because they come up on the market too fast for anyone to filter them.
