Teacher's Union on strike??

Please No!!! I work as an SEA in the schools. So far ive heard nothing. Im under a diffrent union though... but we still have to respect their strike which means no work for me :(

It's not the teachers union. It's the BCGEU, os the support staff (janitors ,etc) at a few of the colleges....BCIT, Douglas, kwantlen and northern lights college.

I believe it's going to be a rotation strike and it'll start at Kwantlen on monday. Here's a press release to check out.

your union is obliged to tell you about any negoitations or when the contract ends...they also must hold a mandatory strike vote and dues check off, so i think your in the clear because your shop stewart would give you the heads up if anyhting was going on.

Better pay and benifits but they have thiere setbacks aswell
