its a double standard... there is a lot of racism that goes BOTH ways...

while they are your friends, thats fine and all, but racism DOES happen towards us whiteys

Sean actaully the definition of racism is any broad statement covering an entire race... I mean even if you were to say "all black people run fast" that is still racism even though it is not slanderous...

I don't think that a power relationship has to be involved for racism... But eveyone is able to have their opinion right.

Why is it perfectly acceptable then for this scenario:

Black based sitcom show where they have a token idiot white guy. Great times... no one says boo.
What would happen if a white based show like Seinfeld or whatever had a token moron black guy? All hell would break loose....

Same with something like the NAACP offering a Negro Scholarship Fund. What if some white run organization wanted to have a Caucasian Scholarship Fund? It would never ever fly because it would be segregation. That directly correlates to the whole power relationship.

im tlaking about a sociological definition, i didnt agree with it either when i first heard it, but people who study society use that ideal to determine wether somehting is racist or not...what you described they would call a generalization..like sayin "all americans are fat", or "union workers are lazy" it dosnt necessarily have to have racial overtones.

i can understand being proud of accomplishments, or having respect for the achievements of other people. But Its just chance that two white people fucked and i ended up being born.

though i don't believe in race, culture exists but race is something that people create to categorize themselves based on attributes which are subjectively categorized as belong to specific groups. Its funny tho because these defining attributes are not specific to particular groups.
